COMPREHENSIVE ORAL EXAMINATION: Your initial visit includes obtaining medical and dental records and performing a visual examination and oral cancer screening. We also take any necessary x-rays in order to make an accurate diagnosis. We will then make treatment recommendations.
DENTAL IMPLANTS: You can now replace single or multiple missing teeth, or secure a denture into place, with implants. A dental implant is a replacement tooth “root” constructed of medical grade titanium. Dental implants are extremely stable, strong and natural-looking. Patients with dental implants are able to eat, smile and laugh without fear or embarrassment their denture may slip or click, or their bridge will trap food. Dr. Beckmann is a fellow in both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
TEETH WHITENING: Our state-of-the-art, in-office Power Bleaching system will make your teeth whiter in approximately 2 hours.
Another option is our custom-made home bleaching system that can achieve results in 2-3 weeks.
PORCELAIN CROWNS, ONLAYS, and INLAYS: We restore teeth that are broken down past the point of needing a conservative filling with crowns, also known as caps. While crowns cover the entire tooth, we also use all-porcelain onlays and inlays to restore varying degrees of the tooth structure. Cosmetically, you can also have a new smile with all-porcelain tooth-colored crowns.
PORCELAIN VENEERS: We use thin sheets of porcelain, with minimal tooth loss, to cover the front of the teeth to give the effect of whiter and/or straighter teeth. We also close gaps between teeth giving patients a “Hollywood Smile” in a few simple appointments. Veneers can also provide “instant orthodontics”.
COMPOSITE RESTORATIONS: We replace old, silver fillings that are worn or breaking, with metal-free tooth-colored fillings.
ROOT CANALS: We use this procedure to save a compromised tooth by removing the diseased nerve to get a patient out of pain.
FIXED BRIDGES: We replace missing teeth with an option of a bridge. These are permanently anchored spans adjacent to the missing teeth.
PERIODONTAL TREATMENT: Periodontal disease poses a threat not only to your teeth and gums, but also to your overall health. The American Dental Association recommends a prophylaxis (basic cleaning) at least twice a year. If you are past due from your last cleaning or have gum problems, you may be a candidate for periodontal treatment. This may include periodontal scaling, or scaling and root planning combined with antibiotic therapy. Once we have your disease under control, we will help prevent recurrences by close monitoring with follow-up appointments and instructing necessary homecare routines.
OCCLUSAL NIGHTGUARDS: We may recommend this appliance which is similar to an orthodontic retainer. It is worn during sleep and protects your teeth and jaws from the destructive effects of grinding teeth or clenching jaws. In most instances, it helps relieve jaw pain resulting from this condition known as bruxism.
SEDATION: We offer sedation for severely anxious patients, and have many options in making that person more relaxed.
CUSTOMIZED FULL AND PARTIAL DENTURES: We offer these options to replace multiple missing teeth. These appliances, which give the look of natural teeth, can be removed for cleaning.
ANTI-SNORING DEVICE: These dental devices are used for patients that are unable to tolerate a C-Pap machine, or have surgical procedures.
STERILIZATION: We strictly adhere to guidelines mandated by OSHA and the CDC.
